Pout Plump in Mulberry

Plumping lip gloss. I am tres skeptical. Always have been. Mostly because I've never encountered much evidence beyond the tingling of my lips after application. So while I'm not a believer in it, I still use it. Why? Because most lipglosses out there are trying to be plumping and there are a lot of pretty colours available.

My most recent acquisition is the Pout Plump in mulberry. My first foray into the red tones. The colour is lovely and while I doubt that the plumping spices are actually making my lips bigger, the tingling sensation is handy because it let's me know when the lip gloss has worn off my lips.

Bottom line. Lovely colour, nice gloss, don't expect huge Angelina Jolie style lips from it.

Pout Cheek to Cheek in coral nymph/bronze siren

I went in for lipgloss and I came out with a bronzer/blush. I can be such a sucker sometimes, but it is my weakness. Shhttp://www.blogger.com/post-create.g?blogID=3581016
Blogger: The Royal Word - Create Postow me how to look healthy and full of life without having to endure the annoyance that is the sun and I'm sold. Put it in cream format so it's easy to work with and easy to correct mistakes and I'm bringing it home with me.

And that's how I brought home Pout's Cheek to Cheek. I love it so much that I didn't use another blush product for a week after purchasing it. It works best when you use a foundation brush to apply it, mixing the bronzer and the coral blush together. The result is a beautiful glow. Just the kind of glow you want to greet the return of the sun this spring.

Pout: Illuminator

Let's glow. Well all look better this way. And in spite of some pretty aggressive sales techniques, I was persuaded to pick up some of this in Love Glow. With the aid of a foundation blush, this can be applied all over the cheeks or mixed into liquid foundation or bronzer to give you a "I was just working out, so I'm a touch flushed, but in the most pretty way."

I knew they would get that into a bottle one day.

Pout: Eye duo (Miss September & Miss Scotland), Shiseido Bronze Flash

There was this page in the fall Sephora Czarina catalogue of a redhead done up with green eyeshadow and bronze blush that I became just a little obsessed with. Just look at it. Stunning.

It took me some time but I was able to assemble the colour components of this stunning look. Not to be hindered by the fact that I'm really not a green-eyed redhead, I made it a misson to get my hands on Pout's Eye Duo in Miss Scotland (and a packet of the duo in Miss September because it's my birth month and actually the right colour for brown eyes). Sure, it would look better on someone with green eyes, but it doesn't look bad on me. That's the cool thing about colour. Done right you can break out of your prescribed colour modes and have some fun.

The Bronze Flash from Shiseido (the company's name that I can NEVER, EVER pronouce without sounding like a hick) has become a staple of my makeup bag. Breaking out of my pink mold has been a slow and sometimes painful process. Bronze was something I never thought I would be happy with, yet this stick just gives me a wonderful glow.

Pout: Wet Lash

Brow tamer and lash conditioner in one? Madness. This is a great product for people with dark brows that aren't as much looking for added colour as they are trying to keep everything in it's right place. A clear lash/brow conditioner like Wet Lash can do the trick for ordinary days. And it comes in an adorable turquoise tube.

When you are adding colour to your brows, it can still be used to keep everything in place, though a product like Benefit Browzings is perfectly suited to both tasks in one little compact. Either way, it's important to take care of your brows. Yes, I'm talking to you. Make an appointment for a brow wax now. No. I won't stop staring at you until you pick up the phone and make the call. Wax I tell you! Do not underestimate the effect of well groomed eyebrows.
