I'll make the most of it, I'm an extraordinary machine

Vacation, all I ever wanted

When you have the time to enjoy it, life is sweet.

I've been relaxing for the last two days, but my vacation officially starts today. I got to feel that particular glee when you realize the rest of the world is already at work when you slide out of your cozy bed. Even better was that last night as I bundled up for the cold minus 23 night I had the energy and interest to read.

I was once a very prolific reader, as every good writer should be, but in the past year I just haven't had the energy. That and I've had satellite TV, my computer and high-speed Internet. Its no wonder that I read more in Prague. Having the time and energy to read feels wonderful.

I got all of my marathon movie watching out of the way over the weekend, watching the extended edition of The Return of the King (crying most of the way through) on Saturday and having friends over to watch the Original Star Wars Trilogy on Sunday.

Once it warms up a little, I'm looking forward to heading out on my own in the city and looking at it with relaxed, instead of rushed, eyes. Otherwise I'll be spending the time before I return to Kingston for Christmas painting, reading and playing Chris' gamecube.

Happy Holidays indeed.
